Rise Again - Ann Arbor
We will be leading a singalong concert for our new songbook Rise Again this evening in Ann Arbor.
We will be joined by two terrific American roots musicians, Robert Jones & Matt Watroba. They have performed hundreds of concerts often under the label "Music that Matters".
BENEFIT: The concert will be a benefit for Focus: Hope, an important project that is working hard to build community across racial and economic divides and fight poverty in racism in Detroit. Robert and Matt have worked with this project for a number of years.
TICKETS: Online ticket prices are $15 / adult ($5 under 18). nline tickets are not mailed out - there will be a "will call" list at the door. You can also purchase tickets at the at the door for a suggested donation of $10-25 per adult ("be affordable, be generous!")
SONGBOOKS: Copies of the songbook will be available to borrow or buy at the concert. This is a great opportunity to learn and sing great songs from the new book with the folks who made the book!
PARKING: The First Presbyterian Church (located at 1432 Washtenaw Avenue) has kindly offered to let folks coming to this concert park in their large parking lot behind their church. This parking is only a very short walk to the meetinghouse on Hill Street. Walk to the meetinghouse via the exit from this parking lot. Please leave the small parking area behind the meetinghouse for those with mobility limitations and those unloading things for the concert.
