Super Sing Sunday Cancelled

***CANCELLED***

Sorry! This workshop has been cancelled. Please stay in touch and we hope to see you next time we are in the area!

Singing together empowers the soul!

This intimate afternoon workshop offers the chance to sing with, get to know, and learn from three of this country's premier activist musicians. Limited to 35 participants.

There is still space in this workshop. You are welcome to come without advance reservation. Admission at the door is for a suggested donation of $30-50. ("Be generous! Be affordable!")

We will:

  • explore ways that songs can add energy and a sense of heart connection to a rally, meeting, classroom, or conference
  • share songs that nurture personal empowerment and group resilience
  • learn great new songs that build hope, community, and resistance
  • learn tips for great songleading
  • have fun!

The time will be spent in group singing, demonstration, discussion, and teaching.

This workshop is part of a tour celebrating the centennial of Pete Seeger's birth. Pete was one of the great song leaders of all time, igniting the hearts of those who sang with him. A friend and mentor to these artists, Pete inspired Annie and Emma’s Revolution to carry on his tradition of building community, hope, and empowerment through song.

Part of the time we will sing out of a new collection of songs that Pete used to empower and ignite his audience. Copies of this songbook can be bought now to pick up at the workshop or you can borrow or buy a copy at the workshop.

The workshop leaders are also offering a concert on Friday night, Jan. 31st in Santa Monica. Information on Santa Monica concert.

About the performers:

  • Called “fervent and heartfelt” by The New York Times, Emma’s Revolution’s songs have been sung for the Dalai Lama, praised by Seeger, and covered by Holly Near. https://emmasrevolution.com/
  • "Annie is an activist who can really sing, a singer who is really an activist, and a song leader extraordinaire.  I always leave Annie's concerts and singalongs believing that we can not only fight the good fight, but win the good fight too." - Dr. Andrea Ayvazian, Founder and Director for the Sojourner Truth School for Social Change  https://www.riseupandsing.org/annie
